Quality & Certificates of Analysis
Every research product we list is handled with care from storage onwards. Here is how to get the documentation for your batch, and how to read it.
Reading a certificate
Three numbers worth checking
A certificate of analysis (CoA) is a laboratory report for a specific batch. When you receive one, these are the three things to look for.
Purity
High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separates a sample into its components. The purity figure shows what share of the sample is the main compound.
Identity
Mass spectrometry measures molecular weight. A result that matches the expected weight helps confirm the compound is the one named on the label.
Content
Concentration in mg/ml multiplied by the fill volume in ml gives the total amount in the pen or vial, which you can compare with the labelled strength.
Request documentation
Ask for the report that matches your batch
Third-party CoAs and HPLC purity reports are available on request for our batches. Documentation depends on the batch you receive, so tell us which product you have and we will send what applies.
1
Tell us what you have
Send the product name and, if you have it, your batch number.
2
We find the batch records
Our team checks which documentation applies to your product and batch.
3
You receive the documents
We share the reports with you so you can keep them with your laboratory records.
Handling guidance
Looking after research materials
Keep them cold
Unless a product page says otherwise, store refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C as soon as a delivery arrives.
Protect from light and freezing
Keep items in their original packaging, away from direct light, and do not freeze them.
Follow laboratory procedure
Handle materials in line with your own laboratory safety procedures and the regulations that apply to you.
Research use only. All products are supplied strictly for laboratory research purposes. They are not for human or veterinary consumption and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
